(Photo : Facebook) "Sons of Anarchy" season 6 is happening soon.

Katey Sagal revealed spoilers of her character Gemma in "Sons of Anarchy" season 6, as well as a new promo that hints that there might be some problems with Jax and his family as well as new controversial scenes in the premeire.

"She starts out in a pretty good place. That's all I really know. We've only done six. So I really don't know what's going to happen," Sagal said in a recent interview. "At the beginning of the season she has her new boyfriend. She's conflicted, but resigned, about what's going on with Clay. She's really done with that situation... She's been with her grandchildren a lot. Things have settled. She's in a good place."

But the new promo suggests something a little different.

A new promo for season 6, titled "Mayhem, teases Jax (Charlie Hunnam) choosing the club over his family, including his mother Gemma (Katey Sagal), wife Tara (Maggie Siff) and Clay (Ron Perlman). Him and the rest of his club rides pass a building with murals of Gemma, Tara and Clay's faces, and blows up after they drive by.

Show creator Kurt Sutter talked about the controversial scene in the upcoming episode 1 of season 6, which will show a school shooting carried out by a young boy.

"I've wanted to do that story for about three years. I know obviously that it would be somewhat controversial, but I feel like as much as I wouldn't do something because it was controversial, I'm also not going to do something because it is [controversial]... It's an organic story to our world; thematically it's the right fit," Sutter said at the Television Critics Assoc. summer press tour on Friday.

"I will also say that there's a lot of blood and guts in my show - it's a signature of the show," he continued. "But I feel like nothing is done gratuitously. This is a story that's not being done to be sensational... It is truly the catalyst for the final act of our morality play. It sets everything in motion for this season that will ultimately lead to the end that then will bring us into the final season and what I see as the ultimate comeuppance of everything in terms of the series."

The Daily Beast contributor Jason Lynch tweeted, "Something happens in the premiere that, even by #SOA standards, isn't going to sit well with a lot of people."

In other news, Sutter revealed that each hour-long episode would be 15-30 minutes longer this season.

"Sons of Anarchy" season 6 premieres on Tuesday, Sept. 10 at 10 p.m. ET on FX.
