Jude Law Dons Giorgio Armani To 'The Young Pope' Premiere During The 73rd Venice International Film Festival

On Sept.3, the 73rd Venice International Film Festival, hosted the global premiere of the new series "The Young Pope" directed by Paolo Sorrentino.

The upcoming television miniseries stars will consist of ten episodes on HBO. Jude Law stars as fictional Pope Pius XIII (born Lenny Belardo), the newly elected Pope struggling with his new responsibilities. The series also stars Diane Keaton as Sister Mary, a nun from America living in Vatican City who raised Belardo and helped him reach the papacy.

For the big premiere in the romantic Italian city, Jude hit the red carpet, skipping the tux, and donning a laid-back Giorgio Armani ensemble which consisted of a tailored navy blazer, grey trousers, crisp white dress shirt and patent leather toed dress shoes.

Following the premiere, which was also attended by Daniela Sorrentino, Roberta Armani, Sonia Bergamasco, Alba Rohrwacher, Saverio Costanzo, Gemma Arterton, Marco d'Amore, Fabrizio Gifuni,Gabriele Mainetti, all in Giorgio Armani. the cast moved over to the after-party, held at L'isola di San Clemente.

The 73rd annual Venice International Film Festival opened on Aug. 31 and runs through Sept. 10 in the romantic Italian city,
