Even though director Taika Waititi has expressed optimism that his cast and crew should all have fun on the set of "Thor: Ragnarok," not everything is turning up well since a lot of the production workers have already complained of partiality and have even been fired unfairly.

According to the Gold Coast Bulletin, more than 100 employees have already lost their jobs following some set cuts.

Waititi, who is a Kiwi, is reportedly favoring New Zealand workers compared to locals, so the former got to keep their jobs while the rest were let go.

"There's quite a lot of antagonism about how the New Zealand crew is being well looked after and seem to be in charge of a lot of main jobs," a source told the publication.

Another said, "I came back from Europe for this job and was told I'd have at least six months' work. I got a week's notice and haven't had time to organize work. I've got a mortgage and kids to feed. They've looked after their own and it's the locals who have all suffered."

To defend the decisions made by Waititi to let go of some workers, Australian Premier of Queensland Annastacia Palaszczuk said, "What we have seen is that the stage for 'Thor' has been completed and those jobs are finished."

She added that she's pretty satisfied with the "Thor: Ragnarok" production, and with construction coming to an end, more jobs will open for actors.

"I don't have any concerns," she affirmed.

Meanwhile, Waititi earlier told Polygon that "Thor: Ragnarok" is the most different Marvel movie to date, and it will also be one of the biggest.

When asked what makes the movie unique, Waititi failed to provide a direct answer because the movie is still constantly changing.

"The plot has changed and the script has changed. There are buddy elements to it between Thor and the Hulk, but who knows what the final movie will look like," he said.

"Thor: Ragnarok" will be released on Nov. 3, 2017.
