O'Brien still has yet to address the incident, though. There is also no news about his return to his projects.

"Teen Wolf" executive producer Jeff Davis did confirm that the actor will be part of its sixth and final season.

"Stiles is a big part of the season because a lot of this season's mystery revolves around him," Davis told Entertainment Weekly. "We're going to see just what Stiles' friendship means to Scott (Tyler Posey), Lydia (Holland Roden), and Malia (Shelley Hennig)."

Davis continued: "We're going to see exactly why he's Scott's best friend, what it means that he's Malia's human anchor, and what his will-they-or-won't-they relationship with Lydia."

It also seems like it will only be a matter of time until the actor returns on the set of "Maze Runner." The film franchise's director, Wes Ball, seemed to be alluding to a December resumption of the movie's production.

Answering a fan's question on Twitter about auditioning for the film, the director said: "I hear you. :) but right now it's too early. In December you should find audition announcements."

Fox has announced that production for the film will be stalled indefinitely.
"The resumption of principal photography on 'Maze Runner: The Death Cure' has been further delayed to allow Dylan O'Brien more time to fully recover from his injuries," a statement obtained by The Hollywood Reporter said. "We wish Dylan a speedy recovery and look forward to restarting production as soon as possible."

"Maze Runner: The Death Cure" is slated for a Jan. 12, 2018 release.
