On June 19, Gigi Hadid walked the red carpet for the 2016 iHeartRadio Much Music Awards in Toronto, Canada.

Hadid was this year's host for the annual awards, which serves to honor the year's best music videos.

The model and Maybelline New York spokes-model wore a variety of looks for the evening event. Most notably, she donned a stunning red Thierry Mugler suit and paired it with a jewel-encrusted collar necklace.

To accompany her red power suit, Maybelline New York makeup artist Patrick Ta created a bold, orange-red lip to match the distinct color of Hadid's suit.

Ta explained that the inspiration behind the look all came from Hadid, who requested a bronze eye and bold lip.

"Gigi loves a fresh and natural look, but still glam at the same time," Ta stated. "The inspiration for her look this year came from Gigi herself, which I was able to execute and make my own. She wanted a bronze and beautiful eye with a bold aspect to it which was the red lip."

Face and Contouring:

For a luminous complexion and extra hydration, Ta began by applying a moisturizing oil. Next, Ta used Maybelline New York Master Prime Blur + Illuminate for a flawless finish. Then he applied Maybelline's Dream Velvet Foundation for a bright, fresh-faced look. Using a darker shade in the same foundation, Ta lightly contoured the hollows of the model's cheeks before applying Maybelline's Fit Me! Bronzer on her cheekbones. Ta then used Maybelline's Better Skin Concealer beneath Hadid's eyes, making sure it was two shades lighter than her base foundation.

As an added bonus, Ta applied a brand-new product that will be hitting stores this July -- Maybelline New York's Master Strobe Highlighting Stick. He applied this to the high points of the model's cheekbones for added glow. After a light powdering of FaceStudio Master Fix Setting Powder across Hadid's t-zone, Ta applied a bronze blush to the apples of her cheeks. Finally, the model's makeup was set with the Master Fix Setting Spray for a gorgeous, natural finish.

To create Hadid's desired bright, bronzy eye, Ta used Maybelline's The Nudes Palette. He first applied the light brown color within the crease, following it up with a nude shade that he applied all over the lid. For the pièce de résistance, Ta applied a deep gold shade from the palette. He then curled Hadid's lashes before applying two coats of the Spider Effect Mascara.

For a thick, defined brow, Ta used another leading Maybelline New York product that will also debut in July -- the Brow Precise Micro in Blonde.

For the main event -- a bold, punchy red lip -- Ta mixed lipsticks to achieve the perfect shade. First, he applied a lip stick that matched the tone of Hadid's cheeks, then he mixed two hues, using the colors Orange Danger and Smoking Red from Maybelline New York's The Loaded Bolds Collection (which will also become available next month).
