American actress Haley Bennett, who will star as Megan Hipwell in the upcoming "The Girl On the Train" movie adaptation, considers herself lucky to have worked with some of the best actors and actresses in the industry.

The 28-year-old actress even says her co-star Emily Blunt, who is currently pregnant with her second child, is one of her mentors.

"The people I've been fortunate to work with, people I look up to, other actors who gracefully do what they love to do and balance that with a rich personal life - that's where my goals are," she told Interview Magazine. "Warren Beatty has been an incredible advocate, a good friend. He reaches out to me and checks in. And Terrence Malick as well. Emily Blunt has been good to me."

One of the best advice she's ever received from her colleagues is to "pace" herself and take time to rest amid a demanding working schedule, and it's something she makes sure of doing.

"I guess if you don't rest and rejuvenate, then you harden, and I don't want to harden," she said.

In "The Girl On the Train," Bennett's character Megan is a total mess. Even though she's married to a seemingly great guy named Scott (Luke Evans), she feels incredibly unhappy and engages in one affair after another in order to feel a semblance of control in her life.

When she gets murdered, it was struggling alcoholic Rachel Watson (Emily Blunt) who witnesses the crime. However, Rachel really isn't the best witness given her blackouts. Even author Paula Hawkins told The Guardian that Rachel is a "difficult female protagonist" because she wallows in misery.

"She's let herself spin out of control, but many of us walk a bit close to that line without crossing it. You could imagine if something dramatic happened like a failed marriage or lost job then we might, so that's how I see Rachel. I'm very sympathetic to her," she said.

"The Girl On the Train," which is directed by Tate Taylor, will be released on Oct. 7. Other stars of the film include Rebecca Ferguson, Laura Prepon, and Justin Theroux.
