Secondly, Sarah Shahi is going to be a regular on the show. Isn't this exciting news?

We loved Shahi's character, Samantha Shaw who is pretty cold, clinical and yet really sexy in her "I'll a killing machine" way.

Shahi and Caviesel made an interesting pair because physically, they're so unlike each other, with him being tall and broad-shouldered and her being quite petite and well put-together. We're wondering if there will also be any sexual sparks between the two.

So far, Caviezel's character, John Reese, seems to have a thing for Zoe Morgan, played by Paige Turco, but nothing ever seems to happen besides the occasional flirtation.

Since the machine has now officially disappeared, taking its own safety upon itself rather than leaving Finch or Root in control of it, we have to wonder if the virus that had infected it is still going to have some kind of effect in terms of how it functions in the future.

Jonathan Nolan, the showrunner, said, "at the end of this 24-hour period [the finale of Season 2], someone is going to control The Machine. And the identity of that someone is something of a surprise. ... Last year we ended with a cliff-hanger. We consider this finale the end of one chapter and we begin what we think is a wild new one. Next season is a brave new world."
