"The Huntsman: Winter's War" star Emily Blunt knows that her latest character Freya will be likened to animated character Elsa from "Frozen," with their trademark white hair and ability to control ice. The only difference between Freya and Elsa, according to Blunt, is that the former has been consumed by evil, while the latter still cares for her family and friends.

"There have been many 'Frozen' comments," she told The Telegraph. "But that was always going to be the risk when you play someone with long white hair. And I suppose I might be called Elsa by girls in the street, who are wondering why Elsa has become so mean."

Blunt said that Freya is such an interesting character to portray because she came from being good to bad because of the death of her daughter.

"I was really drawn to this strange, Mommy Dearest character, because I think very often you're met with a villain in a film that you're just supposed to accept for being this abhorrent person, whereas in Freya's case you discover why she became who she is," she explained.

Blunt stars in the movie together with Charlize Theron as her sister Ravenna, Chris Hemsworth as the Huntsman Brighton and Jessica Chastain as the warrior Sara.

The actress admitted that it's difficult maintaining a straight face as a heartless villain, since the cast has a lot of goofy moments.

"When you're wearing this crazy costume and trying to be evil, and someone falls over or burps on set it's all the funnier, so we've got some good out-takes," she laughingly shared. "But despite the fantasy, you are trying to ground these people in some kind of a reality. Still, the whole thing was just really easy: lots of like-minded people who didn't take it too seriously."

Meanwhile, when Blunt was asked if she's pretty similar to Freya, the actress answered no. "I dont know if I'm just as evil," Blunt told NBC Today.

"The Huntsman: Winter's War," which is directed by Cedric Nicolas-Troyan, will make its way to cinemas on April 22.
