Is "Real Housewives of Atlanta" star Kim Fields the first star ready to try her hand on season 22 of "Dancing with the Stars?"

According to Entertainment Tonight, the '80s sitcom star is one of the stars announced that will be competing for the mirrorball trophy.

Fields is best known for her iconic role of Tootie Ramsey on "The Facts of Life" and her star turn as Regine on "Living Single."

The actress also created the holiday entertainment brand, Holiday Love, directing well-known shows including "Kenan & Kel," "Tyler Perry's House of Payne" and "Meet the Browns."

Due her her iconic television status, Fields is already being considered a favorite in the running for season 22's mirrorball trophy.

During her run on "Facts of Life," Fields released two singles on the Critique Records label, "He Loves Me He Loves Me Not" and "Dear Michael."

The Pepperdine University graduate is married to actor Christopher Morgan and the couple has two children; Sebastian Alexander Morgan and Quincy Morgan.

"Dancing with the Stars" continues to experience upheavals as season 22 commences.

ABC recently announced that former pro and current "DWTS" judge Julianne Hough would not be returning to the long-running reality dance competition.

"I will miss being on the panel for Season 22, but have a lot of exciting stuff coming that I look forward to sharing," Hough told Entertainment Tonight in a statement.

"The pro dancers, producers and crew at DWTS will always be my family," Hough elaborated in the interview.

Hough is supported in her decision by her brother, six-time mirrorball winning pro dancer, Derek Hough.

"I think she did three great seasons, and it's time for her to go," he said to Entertainment Tonight.

"She's got great things on the horizon, and she's doing great things. Len [Goodman]'s coming back, and so, you know, I think four judges feels a little redundant anyways, so I think it's the right thing to do," revealed Hough in the interview.

There has been no confirmation from ABC regarding casting for season 22 of "Dancing with the Stars."

The full cast is to be revealed during a live announcement on the morning news/talk show, "Good Morning America" on March 8.
