"Grease Live" star Vanessa Hudgens spilled surprising details of her role as the sexiest Pink Lady, Rizzo, during an appearance on "Jimmy Kimmel Live."

"I definitely watched ['Grease]' growing up. I feel like it always a part of my life," Hudgens told Kimmel as reported by People.

The actress also admitted she never thought of herself as the tough girl with a soft heart. She admitted she believed she was at heart, more like the character played in the 1977 film by Olivia Newton-John, Sandy.

"I mean, she's such an amazing part," the actress revealed. "Now that I'm older, I'm like, oh my God. She's tough. She's got grit."

The actress, alongside Julianne Hough, Aaron Tveit, Carlos PenaVega, Carly Rae Jepsen, Boyz II Men, DNCE and Keke Palmer, will tackle the iconic musical during a live presentation for Fox the end of January.

"We were doing 'Sandra Dee' and I stepped on a bench in front of the bed and it flipped and I just fell on my butt so hard," the actress recalled of a particularly nasty spill during rehearsals for the production.

"People want you to mess up," she revealed, despite the fact that producers of the live musical being taped in front of a live audience, want everything to go smoothly.

"It's horrible," laughed Hudgens. "You think you're dying, and someone wants you to mess up. They're like, 'Ha-ha, it's so funny,' and you're like, 'I hurt!' "

The "High School Musical" alum, who admittedly is a huge fan of the original actors in the film, was stoked to find out one of the movie's original Pink Lady's, Didi Conn.

"She's amazing. She's playing Vi," Hudgens revealed to Kimmel.

"Vi is the waitress who works at the Frosty Palace who has a scene with Frenchie before 'Beauty School Dropout,' so it's amazing, it's like the generations staring at each other!" she gushed to the talk show host.

"Grease: Live" airs Jan. 31 on Fox.
