Glee Season 5 SPOILERS: Finchel Getting Back Together? Joe Written Off, Samuel Larsen Leaving?

The Season 4 finale of “Glee” left us with many unanswered questions – like, are Finn and Rachel ever going to get back together??

“Glee” may have originally planned to solve the ongoing storyline in the finale episode, but actor Cory Monteith was in rehab for filming and so was absent from the episode, according to Wetpaint.

Monteith, 30, entered rehab in March. His rep said that Monteith “voluntarily admitted himself to a treatment facility for substance addiction.”

He checked out of rehab on April 26.

Although Monteith’s time in rehab meant that he missed filming, he will be back for Season 5, and that means the Finchel storyline is back on and we’ll likely see scenes between the on-again off-again couple.

However, another actor’s real-life actions may mean that he won’t return for Season 5.

Samuel Larsen, who plays Joe, recently cut off his trademark dreadlocks.

Larsen, 21, posted shirtless before and after photos of himself on May 23, reports the Daily Mail.

In the before photos, Larsen wears his dreadlocks over one shoulder; both shoulders; and holds them in the air.
In the after photos, he has shorter, thick dark hair and wears geek chic glasses.

“Just for the record my neck feels freakin awesome okay. Seriously. #holla,” he tweeted after the haircut.

However, the haircut may mean that Larsen is not returning to “Glee.”

“'I'm very much over my hair. If it was up to me, I'd have cut it a long time ago,” he said in an earlier interview, adding that he’d only kept the dreadlocks for so long because of “Glee.”

“I called my agent a year ago telling her I wanted to cut my hair because I thought it limited me too much,” he explained.

“I wanted to try to get more mainstream roles, and she talked me out of it. I guess that [Glee co-creator] Ryan [Murphy] liked it and I'm okay with that, but I do look at keeping my hair as more of a burden.”

That burden is now gone – but does that mean that Joe’s gone, too? We’ll have to wait for Season 5 to find out. Read more spoilers below:
