Androgynous male model Andrej Pejic, 21, appears nude (and full-frontal) in the July issue of Vogue Brazil.
The Front Row writes that this is Pejic’s “most revealing shoot yet.”
In the photo, Pejic stands to the side, his long blonde hair disheveled and messy and his hand keeping himself from revealing everything to the cameras. His other hand, posed on his thigh, shows off manicured nails.
The provocative issue also features a Microsoft clip art cover with Gisele Bundchen and a revealing photo spread of Pamela Anderson, reports Fashionista.
Pejic is notable for his androgynous look and the fact that he models both male and female clothing – sometimes in the same campaign.
The Nation reports that Pejic was born in Bosnia in 1991, moved to Australia in 2000 as a political refugee, and entered the modeling industry in 2008.
“Pejić soon became a runway sensation. While some sources suggest that he was scouted as a model at 17 while working at a fast-food outlet in Melbourne, some suggest that he was scouted at a swimming pool whilst still in high school. However, Pejić is notable for modelling both male and female clothing,” the Nation writes.
Pejic has caused controversy when bookstores Barnes and Noble and Borders covered an image of Pejic taking off his shirt while wearing his long blonde hair in curlers on a magazine cover, due to concerns that customers would think he was a topless woman.
Pejic walks for both men’s and women’s shows on the catwalk. He’s walked for Jean-Paul Gaultier, Michalsky, and Marc Models. In 2011, he appeared on both the Top 50 Male Models list and a spot on FHM magazine’s 100 Sexiest Women in The World.
