Prince Harry is reportedly ready to settle down – but not with his girlfriend Cressida Bonas. Instead, he’s thinking of his ex Chelsy Davy, who he’s still in love with, according to sources.
As we reported earlier, Prince Harry, 28, and Cressida Bonas, 24, are on the brink of a breakup due to clashes over their future. Harry wants to settle down and start a family while Cressida “is a long, long way off from being anyone’s wife, yet alone a royal wife,” preferring to focus on her acting career and having fun.
What’s more, Prince William, 30, and Kate Middleton, 31, do not approve of Harry’s relationship with Cressida, as William was once linked to Cressida’s half-sister, Lady Isabella Anstruther-Gough-Calthorpe, 33. Cressida and Isabella have said the Middletons are from “the other side of the tracks,” while Kate has called Cressida a “royal chaser,” according to the International Business Times.
Prince Harry’s and Cressida Bonas’ fights over their future have reportedly left Cressida Bonas in tears and Harry ready to dump her.
According to the Belfast Telegraph, Harry has been under pressure to propose from his family, especially his uncle Prince Andrew and Andrew’s ex-wife Sarah Ferguson. Harry is also looking to Will and Kate's marriage as an example.
“He’s seen how happy marriage has made his brother and I think he wants some of that,” a source said earlier in April.
Since things are going badly with Cressida, Prince Harry is reportedly thinking back to Chelsy Davy, 27, who he dated on-and-off for years until they broke it off for good in 2010 because Chelsy Davy didn’t want the public scrutiny of a royal relationship.
However, things may have changed due to the time apart.
“Don’t write Chelsy off,” a source said. “She was the love of his life for seven years, and it wouldn’t’ surprise me if she didn’t re-emerge at some point in the not-too-distant future.”
“I think they love each other and eventually they will get back together. In fact – and she’ll hate me for saying this – I believe they will marry once she is convinced, of course, that his wandering eye days are over.”
According to Digital Spy, Harry still loves Chelsy, who was his date to Prince William’s and Kate Middleton’s wedding in 2011. He once called her the “love of my life – this one’s unreal,” according to the International Business Times.
“He doesn’t know what to do, because she’s the only one he’s ever wanted to settle down with, and she’s just not interested in being a professional princess,” said a source.
“I saw him cry one night in The Brompton [nightclub] because, although he was surrounded by beautiful girls who would have done anything for him, it was Chelsy he wanted to be with.”© 2013 Fashion & Style.com All rights reserved. Do not reproduce without permission.
