Anne Hathaway's pixie cut is definitely popular after she cut off her long hair for "Les Miserables."
According to E! Online, a poll by the Hairdressing Council of Great Britain and Universal Pictures voted Hathaway's pixie cut the most influential onscreen haircut of all time.
A thousand people voted in the poll and made sure Hathaway's brunette short hair won. Jennifer Aniston's laid back loose curls in "Along Came Polly" came in second place and Audrey Hepburn's bold updo in "Charade" came in third.
Hathaway cut her hair for her dramatic performance as Fantine in "Les Miserables."
Sarah Lee, 50, who works at Cartier on Fifth Avenue in New York and gets her hair done by James Vides at Sally Hershberger downtown in the meatpacking district, talked about the woes of having short hair though, according to New York Magazine.
"When your hair is that short, it forces you to be totally out there," she said. "It's not like people are like, 'Look at this beautiful hair.' It's about your face."
Well in Hollywood, it seems that Hathaway's pixie cut had an impact on other celebrities, including Miley Cyrus, Ginnifer Goodwin, and Maggie Gyllenhaal, E! Online reported. Rihanna is also known having a short cut sometimes, and Michelle Williams is growing her super short cropper cut after many years.
