Adele is slowly returning to the music scene through her award show performances. On February 24, the British songstress will perform her James Bond theme song "Skyfall" at the Oscars.
Adele's Oscar night performance will mark the first time she has sung live in front of an audience since she gave birth to her baby boy, name still unknown, last October. So what will she wear? We hope the songstress will give us a stunning surprise. For years Adele has kept it safe and simple with her usual all-black Burberry ensembles. We understand that Burberry is her favorite label, especially since she is working on a plus-size collection for the brand. However, please Adele, switch it up for the sake of fashion! The singer has dropped a lot of weight since her pregnancy and looks even slimmer than she did before getting pregnant. A nice body-hugging gown with dazzling embellishments and maybe a black and white colorway (in honor of James Bond, of course) would be a wonderful choice.
The movie track has already earned the 24-year-old singer a Golden Globe earlier this month. Adele's original song is now nominated for the Academy Awards' Original Song category.
"She is currently one of the most successful recording artists in the world, and we believe her performance of Skyfall will be an exciting Oscar moment," Oscars producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron said.
"It's an honor to be nominated and terrifyingly wonderful to be singing in front of people who have captured my imagination over and over again," said Adele, according to Vogue UK. "It's something I've never experienced and probably only ever will once!"
Adele's involvement in the film couldn't have happened at a better time. Her performance will also be in conjunction with the 50 year anniversary celebration of "James Bond." During the tribute, all of the actors who have taken on the Bond role will gather together on stage.© 2013 Fashion & Style.com All rights reserved. Do not reproduce without permission.
