Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart were crowned as Hollywood's highest-grossing romantic film couple by Forbes.

The "Twilight" films earned $1.17 billion at the U.S. box office, securing the vampire duo the throne in the Highest-Grossing Romantic Couples list, which Forbes determined by using the past three years' record classified by Box Office Mojo and adding up each couple’s total U.S. box office.

"The fact that we get to track the couple’s off-screen romance along with their on-screen love just adds to the overall romance of the films," states Forbes.
Surely the rocky romance after Stewart's cheating scandal with married director Rupert Sanders fueled interest in the couple as well as the film.

"There is something unique about these films in the way that people have attached themselves to them," said Dorothy Pomerantz of Forbes.

"The movies are unconventional, and you have the added element that the two people are a couple in real life," Pomerantz added.

Pattinson and Stewart surely make one of the sexiest couples in Hollywood. Even though the lovebirds are shy of PDA in their off-screen romance, a surprising news of star spotting came from a sex store, where the couple allegedly shopped earlier this month.

"We were shocked to see Robert and Kristen just walking around. They didn’t do anything to disguise themselves," a shopper said, according to Daily Star.

“They just walked in, browsed the shelves and filled a basket with loads of goodies. They didn’t seem to care if anyone spotted them. They bought a range of stuff including sexy costumes, DVDs, a pair of handcuffs and blindfolds."
