Beyonce wants the world to know just how "raw and real" her upcoming HBO documentary film "Life is but a Dream" will be. In an extended teaser, the "I Was Here" singer reveals the most intimate details of her personal life including her growing baby bump, her insecurities, and even her daughter Blue Ivy's first sonogram.
In the clip, Beyonce explains that her commercial success is hard to maintain, especially when it comes to staying authentic to soulful music while still selling to the mainstream. The private star also addresses her fear of losing relevancy due to her discreet lifestyle.
"I always battle with how much do I reveal about myself," Beyonce says in the teaser. The star has been spoon-feeding her personal life to her fans via her Tumblr blog and her Instagram posts. However, while Beyonce may be the number one diva on stage, off-stage stage she has to compete with exciting stars like Rihanna, Lady Gaga, and Katy Perry who are generously interactive with their fans. "How do I stay current?" Beyonce asks herself in the clip.
Beyonce fans are in for a special treat as the singer shares shocking and rare footage from her secretive life.
"I just had a feeling that something was going on," Beyonce says, referring to her pregnancy.
The multitalented artist struggled to keep her pregnancy a secret as her baby bump grew bigger. "They keep putting me in these tight clothes and trying to hide it," she says while displaying her bare baby bump in a home video footage. "It's very difficult. I don't know how I'm going to get through this." Beyonce famously announced her and hubby Jay-Z's pregnancy on the red carpet at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards.
The acclaimed picture perfect star tells her fans that she is far from the title. "People see celebrities, and they have money and fame, but I'm a human being," Beyonce admits. "I cry. I get scared. I get nervous just like everyone else."
"Life is but a Dream" airs on February 16 on HBO.
