Jared Leto shocked everyone a few weeks back when he tweeted a photo of himself in full drag. The musician/actor was in costume for his dramatic role in the upcoming film "The Dallas Buyers Club."

Leto underwent a drastic transformation for his role as a transgendered individual suffering with full blown HIV/AIDS. The 30 Seconds to Mars frontman dropped a significant amount of weight and even shaved off his eyebrows. Embracing his new less-than-usually-hot image, Leto teamed up with Terry Richardson for a photoshoot.

Leto flaunts his gaunt features in shirtless black-and-white photos. With the help of Richardson's signature bold and vivid shots, Leto's striking appearance can be considered artistic or even beautiful.

"The Dallas Buyers Club"  is set in the 1980s and is based on a true story of a man named Ron Woodruff, played by Matthew McConaughey. Ron is a heterosexual womanizer who is suffering through his final stages of HIV/AIDS. Leto isn't the only one who looks unrecognizable in the film; the once muscular McConaughey dropped 38 pounds and is now thin and frail. Leto plays Rayon, an AIDS patient who helps Ron smuggle illegal anti-viral medications in from Mexico. The pair is on a mission to help legalize the drug cocktails that were once nearly impossible to acquire but have since helped thousands of HIV-positive patients live healthy lives.

Also starring in "The Dallas Buyer's Club" is Jennifer Garner.
