Oprah Compares Justin Bieber to Michael Jackson (VIDEO)

Oprah Winfrey has been releasing teasers of the anticipated Justin Bieber interview. According to the description of the latest video, "In 1993, Oprah did an interview with Michael Jackson that went live around the world within 24 hours. Since then, she hasn't done another interview like that-until now."

"Justin Bieber is a phenomenon of our time. Just like Elvis Presley, just like The Beatles, and also like Michael Jackson, he has billions of screaming fans that adore him. But unlike Elvis, or The Beatles or Michael Jackson, he is a star for this time because of social media," Oprah states.

"There's never been a star like you. Do you realize that?" Oprah asked Bieber. The 18-year-old pop star was taken aback by the profound compliment and asked Oprah to explain what she meant.

"Even those tremendous legends who really changed the pace of music for our culture, did not have a stardom like yours, like a rise to stardom like yours. Because you are a product of - to a great extent- of social media. Therefore, there's never been a star like you."

With over 30 million Twitter followers following his every move, to his 3 million+  Instagram followers viewing each moment he documents - Justin Bieber is owning the social media world.

The talk show queen sat down with the multiplatinum superstar in Chicago for one of the most in-depth interviews Bieber has ever agreed to do.  The interview, filmed pre-Selena Gomez breakup, features a part where Bieber gushes over his then-girlfriend. When asked why he didn't hide the fact that he was dating the young actress, Bieber proudly said, "I don't keep her separate from me because I don't ever want to make her feel like I'm ashamed of her." He added that many other celebrity guys do separate from their lady to avoid public attention. But he says, "If we're gonna get away, we are gonna get away together." However, around the time of the interview, Gomez showed that she didn't share the same enthusiasm about their relationship.

It's a shame that the interview was done before the breakup; Oprah is a master of getting celebrities to open up about their personal lives, no matter how controversial. Back in August, Oprah famously helped Rihanna reveal her secret relationship with her former abusive ex-boyfriend Chris Brown. Since that epic revelation, many stars, including the very secretive Beyonce and low-profile Eminem, have shied away from talking with the legendary host. Imagine the details that Bieber would've shared if this interview was done just a little later. Hopefully, the Bieber and Oprah can get together for a brief update-interview (there's still time).

Watch Oprah's interview with Justin Bieber on Sunday, November 25, at 9/8c on the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN).
