Psy is officially a megastar. The Korean rap sensation made his way to the big times, performing with the Queen of pop herself, Madonna.
On Tuesday, Psy joined Madonna on stage during her tour's second show this week at Madison Square Garden. The K-pop star, dressed in a bright red suit, and the 54-year-old broke into the dance phenomenon "Gangnam Style" in front of a crowd of 20,000. They even reenacted the iconic scene of the music video - Madonna crawled through Psy's legs. However, Madge added her own dirty spin on it and climbed onto Psy's back and began riding him like a horse.
After performing the infectious song of the year, the duo began singing an old school classic - Madonna's "Music." The crowd went wild.
The "Like a Virgin" singer said she is a big fan of Psy. "Thank you, Psy! I'm a very big fan of yours. I've never been out to Korea, but I'll have to do it one day," she said. The new artist reciprocated the warm words and said that performing with the legendary superstar is the number one highlight of all his accomplishments.
"That's so sweet," the 34-year-old Korean pop star said. "I have to say this: In the last couple of months I've experienced so many things, but now I'm at MSG with Madonna!"
Another treat from Madonna's concert was her nontraditional benefit for the victims of Hurricane Sandy. Fans threw money onstage as the pop diva performed "Like a Virgin." "I went down to Rockaway Beach yesterday with my children, and we saw what was going on there. We saw the destruction," she told the audience. "It was really sad, but we also saw amazing acts of humanity - people sharing with other people, people working hard, cleaning houses, handing out food, blankets, giving love." The Associated Press says Madonna collected $3,000 at Monday's show.
