Kate Middleton may have suffered from a nude photo scandal, but it was not the first time for the royal fashion icon to reveal lots of skin to the public.
Thursday night, the Duchess and Duke of Cambridge were invited as guests of honor for the St. Andrews University's 600th anniversary dinner in Central London.
Middleton jokingly reminisced one skimpy outfit she wore, with which she allegedly stole Prince William's heart.
The revealing see-through dress was assigned to Kate back in 2002, when she participated in a fashion show at St. Andrews.
Middleton strutted down the catwalk in a see-through negligee, which caught William's eyes. Since then, Kate quickly turned from just a friend into his love interest.
"Wow, Kate's hot," William told his friends after watching the fashion show, according to Daily Record.
The risqué dress may have helped the royal couple tie their knots, but Middleton jokingly warned the audience at the dinner event, saying
"I hope you weren't involved in the fashion show, you never know what you are going to be asked to wear!"
While attending St. Andrews from 2001 to 2005, William and Kate studied history of art together.
''She was much better at it than me,'' William said of Kate, calling her "art guru."
His time at university was "the happiest of memories, of cold winters and good friends," said William.
At the event, Middleton was radiant in an Alice Temperley black and nude lace dress, which she also wore at the premiere of War Horse last year.© 2013 Fashion & Style.com All rights reserved. Do not reproduce without permission.
