While she normally favors chic dresses and pillbox hats, Crown Princess Mary of Denmark has gone full-on royal in the past week and a half, wearing long gowns, a tiara and precious jewelry for New Year’s events.

On January 1, Mary joined the rest of the Danish royal family for the traditional New Year’s Banquet at Amalienborg Palace. She wore a floor-length white gown, black velvet cape with purple lining and jewels: a tiara, necklace, earrings, bracelet, ring, and Order of the Elephant pendant, featuring diamonds, pearls and rubies. The blog Style of Mary adds that the princess accessorized with a black satin Prada clutch and gold Manolo Blahnik shoes.

On January 6, Mary showed off another glamorous look as she joined other members of the royal family at the New Year’s Diplomatic Reception at Christiansborg Palace, writes Royalista. The princess wore a floor-length navy gown with a diamond collar and topaz earrings, as well as a more understated bracelet. Like the other royals, she also wore a light blue ceremonial sash and brooch.

Mary rarely wears full on formal looks, often preferring chic day dresses and hats instead. However, when she goes glam, she goes glam!
