Miley Cyrus is desperately seeking for protection after a stalker with a pair of scissors was arrested near her home.

The 19-year-old starlet has newly ordered a restraining order against Jason Luis Rivera, who ended up in prison for the next year and a half.

Wielding a pair of green-and-black scissors, 40-year-old Rivera jumped over the fence in attempt to enter Cyrus' home on Sept. 8.
The stalker was later found to possess scissors, money, ID, and notes, and a large pink heart cutout tucked underneath his shirt.

Upon arrest, the intruder was charged with two misdemeanor accounts of trespassing and another two for resisting arrest.
A 500-yard restraining order was put into place, and was not renewed after Rivera was sentenced to 18 months in prison.

Cyrus has reportedly requested a new restraining order on Oct. 30, seeking to restrict Rivera from being within 1,000 yards from herself, TMZ reports.
A hearing is scheduled for November to determine if the temporary order should be made permanent.
