Lindsay Lohan took to her twitter account to address why people are giving out such negative vibes about Hurricane Sandy which she calls "Sally".
Hurricane Sandy is touted to be the biggest storm ever to hit USA. And at this hour of distress and panic, Lindsay Lohan tries to calm people down with her twitter message where she calls the storm "Sally".
The actress tweeted, "WHY is everyone in SUCH a panic about hurricane (i'm calling it Sally)..? Stop projecting negativity! Think positive and pray for peace."
While some celebrities tried to lighten up the mood others took it quite seriously. Olivia Wilde wrote, "Were there this many hurricanes before Twitter? #justsayin."
Comedian Tracy Morgan was among the more serious people who asked the people on the east coast to stay safe. "Everyone on the east coast stay safe and batten down hatches!" he tweeted.
Lohan's tweet received mixed reactions. While some criticised her, others said it was a good idea to stay calm and pray.
"You can't fault a girl for reading 'The Secret' and believing that positive thoughts are enough to counter one of the biggest storms to ever travel up the East Coast," wrote Jenni Maier on Crushable in response to Lohan's tweet. "Nor can you blame her for getting confused between a hurricane caused by nature and the concept of peace ... If only we would stop the wars, the weather would stop the hurricanes."
"Praying never hurts, but since forecasters are calling the 85 mph winds 'life-threatening,' it's probably not a bad idea to brush up on emergency safety skills too," wrote Perez Hilton.
