Kim Kardashian has been suffering quite the fashion backlash this year. The reality star has been experimenting with more high-fashion styles, thanks to her wardrobe intervention conducted by her boyfriend Kanye West. Unfortunately, many of her experimental ensembles have gone awry. It's gotten so bad that even Kardashian had to admit  her fashion faux pas (surprisingly it wasn't the sheer skirt she wore without underwear).

The 31-year-old star was recently spotted wearing an ill-fitting yellow jacket with a black mini leather skirt (see outfit here). The outfit took away from her sexy curves and left her looking stocky. Before the media got a chance to charge Kardashian for her fashion crime, the reality star turned herself in on her blog, "Ok, ok, I am putting myself on the worst dress list for this outfit!"

After confessing her fashion faux pas, Kardashian stated her reason for her terrible style choice, "I wanted a little color while I'm living in Miami, so my intentions were good, but the cut isn't for me! You definitely need to be taller and thinner to pull this jacket style off!" 

Kardashian couldn't be more correct. Short curvy women (like this author) should stay away for boxy fits. Jackets and blazers with a defined waist are always the way to go. The loose jacket with the tight short skirt works better on leaner and taller girls who elongate the ensemble.

Kardashian continued by laughing off her flaw, "Fashion is all about experimenting to try and find your style and you have some hits and misses along the way. The mirror was lying to me this day! Where were my sisters or my boyfriend when I needed a good opinion?! LOL"

Once upon a time, before Kardashian included high-fashion labels to her everyday wear, she was considered sexy, glamorous and stylish in her own right. Unfortunately a lot of the avant garde and luxury labels don't cater to most feminine shapes. It is possible yet difficult to really achieve a non-trendy and upscale fashion look with a voluptuous body type. Both Kardashian and West, who is a womenswear designer, may need to take a lesson in dressing fashionable with curves.
