Miley Cyrus turned down the offer of being a judge on the popular reality show X-Factor saying that she didn't want to be a dream crusher.

The 28-year-old reality star takes her career to greater heights with her deal as a host on "The X Factor." She has been rumored to be co-hosting alongside Mario Lopez, who also recently confirmed his admission, for months. The new hosts and the Fox network announced the news on Tuesday (Oct. 16).

Lopez confirmed on Twitter writing, "Alright guys, it's official... I'll be hosting @TheXFactorUSA ! Looking forward to working with @SimonCowell and the rest of the amazing team"

Odom took to her blog to gush about the exciting news:

"Hi loves. I'm sure you've been hearing the rumors and I'm SO excited that I can finally confirm the news - I am joining The X Factor as co-host with Mario Lopez!!!! I'm a huge fan of the show so I literally fell over in my chair when I heard that I was being considered for the role. The show already has such an incredible panel of judges and it is truly an honor to have been given this opportunity to work with them.

I'm thrilled, overjoyed and of course a little nervous about this new step in my career, and I can't wait to get started. Wish me luck!"

Although the news was probably the world's worst kept secret, Odom almost lost her X Factor gig due to conflict between Fox and her home network, E!.

Perez Hilton reports, it was the notorious momager Kris Jenner that sealed the deal for her daughter. According to the report, Fox and E! couldn't settle on splitting the reality star's celebrity power evenly.  Insiders close to the Kardashian clan say Jenner intervened and saved the day.  She reportedly "'stepped in over the agents...over everyone' and forced both parties to sit down and make the deal work!"

The source says,"She just knows how to make sh*t happen."

Odom and Lopez will be replacing solo host Steve Jones, who was abruptly dismissed after the finale. "The X Factor" has been airing for a few weeks but the episodes are pre-taped audition segments. Lopez and Odom will make their debut once the show goes live in a couple weeks.
