Solange Knowles looks smart and playful as she covers ELLE South Africa's November Issue weeks after she released her international hit.

Solange Knowles covers ELLE South Africa's November Issue in a mixed colorful ethnic printed dress, adorning her wrists with chunky bracelets and rocking a voluminous head of hair. The magazine refers to Solange as "Fashion's New It-Girl.

The glossy's fashion staff describes the 26-year-old as "warm, open and friendly," with a "sunny personality" as bright as the yellow cover. Sarah Koopman wrote the feature for the issue and called interviewing Solange an "incredible experience."

"We sat in her penthouse at 15 on Orange on the Thursday night and chatted while she had her nails done. It didn't feel like a formal interview at all, and we chatted our way through the points I wanted to cover," Koopman wrote. "The sense I got throughout the interview was that she is a real person; a young mom who is doing what she loves."

Solange recently released her new music video for her latest single "Losing You." The colorful video, directed by Melina Matsoukas, was styled by Solange and her sister Beyonce's stylist Ty Hunter.

"Losing You" is an easy breezy tune about emotionally drifting away from a loved one. Solange sings the melancholy song in an upbeat melody with a splash of 80s pop and soulcentric R&B vibes.

The 26-year-old style icon shot the video in the streets of Cape Town, South Africa. Throughout the video, Solange dances randomly in the streets, flaunts her flawless fashion sense, and plays around with her super-hip friends.

As for how she got all her friends to travel to South Africa, Solange explained to FADER magazine, "I literally asked everybody and their auntie for miles. It was my mom's birthday gift to me. Everyone just gave me miles and points from their credit cards, where you can cash them in for miles."

In the video, Solange dons many printed and colorful pieces by Kenzo, Diane von Furstenberg, J Crew, Suno, and Opening Ceremony. The fashion definitely connected to her music video concept. "I've just become really interested in black art and African art and I've actually started to collect," she told FADER of her inspiration.
