Chris Brown and Rihanna are set to go public in November after Rih's seventh album, "Unapologetic" drops. According to sources close to the couple, Rihanna fears her album sales won't do well due to the controversy of her going back to her abusive ex-boyfriend.
According to Hollywood Life, a close source to Rihanna said the singer is "hitting the studio real hard these days, but [talks] to Chris every step of the way. As soon as she finishes up with this album, they will be out. She gotta focus and get that album together and stay paid."
The plan is to maintain some mystery about the relationship until "Unapologetic" is released. Brown assaulted the Bajan pop star in 2009, leaving her brutally injured and forced to issue a restraining order against him. Three years later, the couple is making music together and unapologetically making out in nightclubs. Though fans have warmed up to idea of a Chrianna revival, many others are condemning the couple for setting a bad example of victims of domestic abuse.
The couple is eager to go public with their love. Their PR teams have helped the pair slowly and smoothly re-introduced their romance throughout the year. The dramatic prelude to the couple's anticipated "debut" involved a love triangle with Brown's latest ex Karrueche Tran. Brown publicly dumped Tran on October 4, announcing his favor for Rihanna's "friendship." The drama has drummed up publicity for Rihanna's upcoming album, no doubt.
As the duo prepares to reclaim their "celebrity hot couple" title, Brown is making sure his life will be drama-free. ContactMusic reports that the "Don't Wake Me Up" singer is cutting all ties with his ex Tran. There were recent reports that he was trying to keep her in his life by being her primary financial provider - Brown's rep firmly denied the claims. A source close to Brown says, "They're not talking. Ain't no shade though, he just wants to be done with it and I know Rihanna does too. It's best for everybody, even Karrueche. The last thing he wants to do is get her caught up again."
Sources are saying that the couple will reignite their romance in a huge way and may even elope. Friends close to the musical duo say they "wouldn't be surprised" because of how passionate Rihanna and Brown are with each other. "No one close to them would be a bit shocked if they suddenly eloped," a source told Star. "Rihanna has told her close friends point blank - I would marry Chris. She even says she would have never left him if the media scrutiny didn't get so bad. They're passionate, and when they're drunk, they've both made many comments about getting married," the source added.
"Unapologetic" will hit digital and physical shelves on November 19. Chrianna will hit the scene shortly after.
