PETA Uses "The Situation" and Crude Joke To Save Animals (PHOTO)

PETA is never one to be tactful. Who could forget the zombie-themed website they created for the fur-loving twins Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen? When the organization isn't dumping red paint or powder on celebrities donning animal skin, PETA is busy making "influential" ads using familiar faces. The final season of "Jersey Shore" is on the air, so why not use Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino for an ad?

What you are about to see is actually real. See below:

According to PETA's website, the photo on top is the "tame" version and the second one is the "sexy" version. Is "The Situation" is an expert when it comes to too much (you know what)? It's not like he sleeps with random girls he meets at Karma or has scandalous encounters in the club's bathroom.

Nevertheless, to PETA's credit it's a clever ad. It's unclear if the message would be taken seriously but it's still a message nonetheless. When you finish laughing at the large headline and stop wondering if "The Situation's" muscles are photoshopped, take a look at the fine print located at the bottom left corner which reads:

"Cats and dogs need safe sex too! Millions of animals must be euthanized in shelters each year simply for lack of a good home. Help fight animal population and save lives."

While we're not sure of where Sorrentino truly stands on the use of animal parts for human pleasure, we can know for sure that he's a fan of the kitty community.

Here's his statement:

"It was important for me to partner with PETA to raise awareness about the homeless animal crisis because so many dogs and cats must be euthanized each year because there aren't enough good homes for them all. Everyone can help solve this problem by spaying and neutering their animals and making sure to adopt animals and support their local shelters.

I wanted to partner with PETA on this campaign because it is so sad to know that there are millions of animals sitting in shelters waiting for good homes. If we spay and neuter our animals, it can help solve the overpopulation problem and its core.

By spaying and neutering our pets and making sure to adopt from shelters, we are helping to fight animal homelessness. I encourage everyone to go on the PETA website to learn more about animal abuse and what they can do to help stop it."
