After speculations of Rihanna naming her seventh album "Rihanna7" or "R7" the Bajan pop star has finally chosen a title.
"Unapologetic" - an appropriate title in regards to the singer's personal life. In the fight for Chris Brown's love, Rihanna triumphed over Brown's longtime girlfriend Karrueche Tran. The pop star has definitely been one to not say sorry for her wild and bad girl ways. Rihanna has been an open book all year from revealing her undying passion for her abusive ex Brown on national television (even though he was in a committed relationship), to her engaging in a Twitter war with Tran, to reckless strip club partying. Rihanna is definitely unapologetic for showing who she really is.
Along with the title, Rihanna also revealed her album cover. The singer is topless revealing her infamous chest tattoo of goddess Isis; the ink is a symbol of her late grandmother Gran Gran Dolly.
The racy album artwork features Rihanna's bare breast scribbled out with black marker with "Unapologetic" scripted across in white ink. Her whole body is covered with graffiti-like words associated with the star: #Navy, faith, side-effects, fearless, diamonds, chalice, victory, Roc, censored, fun, 7, and love.
Rihanna's fans are pleased with the name and cover. "Unapologetic" instantly became a top trending topic on Twitter. The singer has added a new hashtag to her "phuck" philosophies -- #phuckyoapologies.
Like always, Rihanna sports a different look for each album. She did the bright red hair for her 2010 "Loud" and curly brown hair for most of her "Talk That Talk" album last year. It looks like she'll be keeping that super short black 'do for "Unapologetic."
So far only one single has been released from "Unapologetic;" she released "Diamonds" late last month. The smooth trance pop track featured the singer experimenting with deeper vocals. Rihanna has been playing with different sounds for the past two years. With today's music blurring the lines of genre, it's safe to predict a more eclectic sound from the singer. The album is expected to drop in November.
