The Maison Martin Margiela for H&M collection is on its way. Many wondered how the high-fashion label would translate to the retail store. Well, wonder no more. The collaborative collection has been unveiled in the ad campaign.
WWD reports, British artist Sam Taylor-Johnson directed the photoshoot and a set of short films for the campaign. The ad was shot in the streets of Paris and features both men and women.
"Working with such an anarchic house as Martin Margiela alongside a high-street brand was a challenge that creatively became a crazy, fun project. I wanted to create an atmosphere that was both quiet and still. That each person was in their own emotional and physical thought space. A world away from the heady atmosphere of the usual urban noise," Taylor-Johnson said of the campaign.
The print ads will launch this month in the international glossies Vogue, Elle, Marie Claire, GQ and Dazed & Confused. The short films will air on TV starting November 8 - a week before the collection hits stores worldwide and online.
H&M scores another big-name label collaboration after previously working with Versace, Jimmy Choo, Marni, and Lanvin.
