In the wake of the media surrounding her sudden weight gain, the rebellious carefree superstar Lady Gaga reveals her longtime battle with anorexia and bulimia.  On her LittleMonsters.com fansite, Gaga posted a series of half-naked photos of herself in her underwear in support of her latest initiative "A BODY REVOLUTION" - a movement to encourage all people to appreciate their bodies and physical features.

"Bulimia and anorexia since I was 15. But today I join the BODY REVOLUTION. To inspire bravery and breed some m$therf*cking (sic) compassion," wrote Gaga along with the series of body photos.  

The 26-year-old gained a noticeable amount of weight - 25 pounds.  Gaga attributed her fuller figure to her love of her dad's cooking and Italian food.  The mother monster has been an advocate for self-esteem and anti-bullying for a few years; she even created a foundation  which she named after her inspiring song, "Born This Way."  

"My mother and I created the BORN THIS WAY FOUNDATION for one reason: 'to inspire bravery.' This profile is an extension of that dream. Be brave and celebrate with us your 'perceived flaws,' as society tells us. May we make our flaws famous, and thus redefine the heinous," said Gaga about her foundation.

Although she is a role model for confidence, Gaga shows that she is human and is not always so strong. After the hurtful press about her weight, the usually scantily clad star started to cover up and wore more demure ensembles. As a comeback to the press, the bold star even donned an oversized bubble dress.

In an interview with radio host Elvis Duran, Gaga said, "I'm dieting right now because I gained, like, 25 pounds. I really don't feel bad about it, not even for a second. I have to be on such a strict diet constantly."

The Body Revolution can be found on her website and on Twitter.

"Hey Guys its Gaga... Now that the body revolution has begun, be brave and post a photo of you that celebrates your triumph over insecurities," she wrote.  Within minutes, fans and those affected by the issue flooded the site with photos highlighting their greatest physical insecurities.

One fan in particular was extremely affected by Gaga's powerful initiative. The fan commented, "I can't stop crying. Gaga I'm battling the same thing right now; you met me in Sydney the first thing you said to me was " Oh my God you're so skinny" And from then on I've been trying to recover so much but it's been killing me, I've been relapsing a lot lately and all i do is cry about my body (...) looking at [Gaga's underwear photo] is making me strong. You inspire me. If you can be strong, i can too. Thank you for helping me. Thank you for everything"
