Lindsay Lohan was taken to Mt. Sinai hospital for lung infection but it wasn't anything serious and the actress left with some antibiotics

Lindsay Lohan was not in the best of health Sunday evening when she was taken to a Manhattan emergency room for lung infection. However, her father Michael Lohan confirmed to the Daily News that the actress is all well now and left the hospital with some antibiotics.

"She's fine, but she had a bad case of asthma as a kid, so she has to take these things seriously," Michael Lohan told the Daily News. "When she was a kid, we almost lost her a couple of times because of the asthma."

He said the lung infection has been bugging Lohan for weeks and even delayed her recent trip to New York from California. Sources told TMZ.com that Lohan suspected she had "walking pneumonia."

Lohan was arrested early September 19 morning for hitting a pedestrian. According to TMZ, Lohan was driving her Porsche Cayenne in downtown Manhattan when she allegedly hit a man. A little after midnight Wednesday morning, the starlet was attempting to park her car near the Dream Hotel - which was at very low speed - and she allegedly hit the knee of a middle-aged man who was later identified as Manhattan chef Jose Rodriguez.

Lohan claims that she had "no idea: she hit anyone and that it wasn't until she came out and got arrested that she knew anything was going on. The "Liz & Dick" star was taken to the police station where she was fingerprinted, photographed, and charged for a hit-and-run. She was then released with a desk appearance ticket.

The latest is that Lohan plans to sue Rodriguez for accusing her of being drunk when she allegedly hit him with a Porsche in New York City last week. "We are confident this matter will be cleared up in the coming weeks and the claims being made against Lindsay will be proven untrue," Lohan's representative Steve Honig told The Daily News.
