Since chopping her locks Miley Cyrus has taken both 80's and 90's grunge to an entirely different level. She has brought back fads that once were sported by Madonna, Cyndi Lauper and Courtney Love.
It's a nostalgia takeover.
Nostalgia is defined as a form of longing for the past. From aroma, sounds and feelings we have all have experienced some form nostalgia. Nevertheless, in the past year this term has become a lifestyle and this particular lifestyle has had a grand influence on fashion. As a men's fashion blogger I quickly began to notice that this has been a time period of "The Return Of . . ." Forthrightly, season after season there has been a return of a trend movement of yesteryear. From the denim vest to the bomber jacket, many of today's fads are very much inspired by the past.

In addition, there are the ever present hairstyles that crept their way upon the runway and fashionable streets. Women are finding a common place in the fringed bangs once sported on shows like 90210 while men are jumping onto the rockabilly hairstyles worn by Elvis Presley and Buddy Holly in their days of reign - think Bruno Mars.
Some of our favorite celebrities have dived into this trend as well. Rihanna is a big fan of the '80s trend; the star constantly channels her inner punk rock meets old school hip hop style. Lana Del Rey pays tribute to fashion's beginnings with her vintage flair. And even YouTube sensation Kreayshawn has been wearing fashions so reminiscent to the 1990's that it is like a sudden flashback.
Truthfully, the fashion world has taken nostalgia to an entire different level. The chokers I casually sported as a child are being fashionably worn again. Forget home videos and family photo albums, if I want to take a gander at the fashions I adored as a youngster I merely step out and see all my favorite fads in adult form. Therefore, hello 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's nice to see you again!

The recent buzz around Peter Dinklage involves his role in the upcoming X men movie but viewers still know him best as Tyrion Lannister who made season 2 of "Game of Thrones," playing the hand of the king who led soldiers to the fight while the real king, Joffrey, ran away.
Christian Bale has been spotted looking unrecognizable after undergoing a drastic physical transformation for his latest role.
We got a number of comments on our last article, titled “‘Elementary’ vs. ‘Sherlock: Wit, Style, Sociopaths and More” and most of the readers seemed to agree that “Sherlock” was the better show with just one lone person defending “Elementary.”
Glee has been renewed for two more season, but in the meantime, we have spoilers for Season 5, coming this fall.
