Now it’s official.
Psy’s “Gangnam Style” has earned a Guinness World Record for most liked video on YouTube.

As of press time, “Gangnam Style” music video has garnered 2,308,920 likes on Youtube, surpassing LMFAO’s “Party Rock Anthem,” which now has 1,576,727 likes.

The title for the most watched video is still held by Justin Bieber’s “Baby,” released in February, 2010. While “Baby” has reached 780,879,511 views, over three times as “Gangnam Style,” which has collected 235,167,903 views so far.

Considering that the viral clip of the horse-dancing was released only on July 15, it is a matter of time for Psy to top Bieber, isn’t it?

"Having been the 'have you seen this?!' video of the last two months across the web, it’s great to be able to award a record for this tremendously popular video," Guinness World Records Community Manager Dan Barrett said in a statement.

"In years past, it was unthinkable that something would be viewed a hundred million times, and now 'Gangnam Style' has achieved more than twice this figure in just three months on YouTube. PSY – your certificate is waiting here at our office, come pick it up any time!"

Psy, whose real name is Park Jae-sang, has become an overnight sensation, and appeared on a series of TV shows in the U.S.

Last week, the 34-year-old rapper brought “Gangnam Style” to NBC’s Saturday Night Live’s season premiere, not only dancing but also matching outfits with Bobby Moynihan and Seth MacFarlane.

Psy also appeared during an “Extra” interview and was greeted by a crowd of horse-riding dancers at The Grove, a popular L.A. shopping and celebrity hot spot.

On Ellen DeGeneres’ afternoon show, Psy coached Britney Spears on the dance moves.

A couple of weeks ago, Psy rocked his dance on TODAY show, making the whole TODAY plaza go Gangnam.

Regarding his megahit, Psy confessed his honest reaction.

“I didn’t expect that at all. I just unloaded this video only for the Korean viewers in YouTube and suddenly, within 60 days, I’m here,” he told Savannah Guthrie on TODAY.

Psy has a signature fashion statement for “Gangnam Style.”

“Especially for ‘Gangnam Style’ I try to dress as classy and dance cheesy. I want that kind of twist and that kind of contrast,” the Korean rapper told Ryan Seacrest in “On Air with Ryan Seacrest” two weeks ago.
