Honey Boo Boo's father Sugar Bear (or just Sugy) is recovering from a nasty leg infection after wounding himself during a freak ATV accident last week. When the news first broke about his "mud boggin' leg injury, reports claimed that Sugar Bear would have to get his leg amputated.  However, according to his "baby mama" June, doctors will not have to amputate.

According to TMZ, Mama June says the doctors decided to perform a debridement - a surgical procedure to remove the infected tissue from the body so it can heal properly.

Honey Boo Boo and the rest of her family visited Sugar Bear after the surgery and say he is doing well and craving some peanut butter crackers. The redneck patriarch is expected to make a full recovery and return to work in 4 weeks.

Now, Sugar Bear can look forward to good home-cooked meals including Mama June's famous butter and ketchup sauce - Sugar Bear's favorite. In a recent episode of "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo," the family went crazy over June's "secret sauce" for spaghetti (or "sketti" as the family calls it). The recipe goes as follows: scoop out about 4 cups of butter into a bowl, pour in a generous amount of ketchup, and microwave. To get the full flavor, eat your "sketti" and sauce out of an empty butter container as portrayed by Honey Boo Boo's big sister Chubbs.
