If it weren't for her fiery red hair and hot young boyfriend Randy Bicks, we would never suspect that the shocking picture of the makeup-free Kathy Griffin was her.

Griffin is very open about her obsession with appearance. The comedian usually pokes fun at herself for getting plastic surgery and Botox. However, she claims as much as she loves a little fixing, she hasn't had work done in years. "I SWEAR I haven't had anything in YEARS! Promise.No Botox, fillers NUTHIN!" Griffin tweeted at a fan in June. By the looks of the makeup-free photo, she is definitely telling the truth.

The 51-year-old funny lady was spotted taking a stroll on Hollywood's popular Runyon Canyon with her 33-year-old boyfriend, wearing nothing but gym clothes and a messy bun hairdo. The photo floating around the web features a pale faced Griffin with a creepy smirk on her face.

Griffin has never been considered a sex symbol. However, she has received much props for her trendy fashion taste and fit physique. The vibrant star hardly misses a mark on the red carpet. She also is known for having on great makeup (i.e. photo above).

It's surprising to see a star so enthralled with vanity proudly go out in public looking so less than glamorous. Her relationship with Bicks, whom she met in October 2011, must be serious; she seems to be comfortable despite her appearance.

Bicks is not a member of the Hollywood world, so this can explain her no need for makeup. Griffin recently expressed how much she wants to keep her relationship private.  "I truly tried to keep it under wraps ... He's a really nice normal guy with a nice normal job who doesn't care for the spotlight, and I like it that way and he does too," the star said.

The comic also says she appreciates how her boyfriend mellows out her high-energy. She continued, "For me, the thing which has become of paramount importance is that he's really such a nice person. He has a really mellow temperament, which I need because I'm a spinning-out-of-control freak."
