What timing!

On the same day Lindsay Lohan got arrested (yet again) in NYC for  hitting a pedestrian with her car and fleeing the scene, Lifetime releases the poster of the actress' latest flick "Liz & Dick."

Lohan transforms into the legendary Elizabeth Taylor. The sometimes red-headed starlet dons a dark sultry curled 'do. In the poster, Lohan drips in diamonds sporting Taylor's signature red pout and dramatic cat eyes. The 26-year-old actress exudes screen siren in a classic yet sexy black dress.

According to the film's poster, the "Liz & Dick" promises controversial love affairs, diamonds, provocative scandals, and paparazzi. The choice of words don't seem too far off from Lohan's actual life.

Early Wednesday morning, Lohan allegedly hit pedestrian, Manhattan chef Jose Rodriguez, with her Porsche Cayenne. The alleged victim claims that lohan "slurred her words and smelled like alcohol." Rodriguez told the Daily News that witnesses refused to help him due to the offender's celebrity. "[It was like] no one could touch her because she was rich and powerful," he said.

Lohan claims she didn't know she hit a pedestrian and believes there is something "fishy" going on because the alleged victim has no visible injuries. TMZ reports that surveillance video of the scene shows that the man is "grossly exaggerating."

As Lohan was getting arrested she kept screaming "Call my dad!" Her dad Michael Lohan spoke out about the incident and he is standing by his daughter. "[I am] so happy that Lindsay had confidence in me. I love her; I will always be there for her." The proud pop is also sure that his daughter was not intoxicated at the time of the incident. "I am happy that she is away from other people and was NOT drinking last night."

Lohan's rep Steve Honig said, "'While some of the facts are still being gathered, it appears that this is much ado about nothing." He continued, "We are confident this matter will be cleared up in the coming weeks and the claims being made against Lindsay will be proven untrue."

Hopefully the movie buzz could serve as a distraction for the star's indiscretion earlier today.

"Liz & Dick" will premiere on Lifetime November 3.
