Amanda Bynes has been an off-peak celebrity for some time until now. The 26-year-old actress is making headlines for her erratic behavior and run-ins with the law.
The former child star is rapidly headed a downward spiral and is reportedly not checking into rehab.
The LAPD impounded Bynes' car on Sunday, after she was caught driving with a suspended license. According to reports, it wasn't the first time the star had been driving without a valid license either.
Fellow fallen star, Lindsey Lohan, was outraged that Bynes seemed to have been let off easy. Lohan took to her Twitter to complain about the unfairness. She wrote, "Why did I get put in jail and a nickelodeon star has had NO punishment(s) so far?"
No worries Lohan, a judge has advised Bynes to appear in court Friday for a hearing on her pending DUI charge.
Sources close to Bynes and even her neighbors are spilling details on the star's unusual behavior. In her most recent wild antics, the "What a Girl Wants" star has reportedly locked herself in a dressing room for nearly 2 hours. Bynes was shopping at Los Angeles boutique Kin when she locked herself into the room for an hour and 45 minutes, according to the sales associates who were present. A dazed Bynes then attempted to leave with a bathing suit still on underneath her clothing. Once she realized she still had on the merchandise she paid for it. The store clerk told TMZ, "I was so worried about her. I didn't know what she was doing in [the dressing room]. I didn't know if she was overdosing, or doing drugs or what."
A fellow member of Equinox, the gym that Bynes goes to, told TMZ that the actress was in the gym last week looking dazed and talking to herself. Another gym member said that Bynes stopped suddenly on her elliptical machine and started "laughing hysterically for no reason."
The actress' neighbors in her gated San Fernando Valley community confirm that there's something definitely going on with Bynes. "No one knows what is going on with her," the neighbor tells E! News. "Her house has become dilapidated. It used to be beautiful but she's let it go to ruin. That's even getting her into trouble; the homeowners' association is very annoyed at her. It was a beautiful house and now it looks a state."
The neighbor also went on to say that Bynes lives alone and hardly receives visitors these days.
"She used to leave the house every day to walk her dog," the neighbor said, "but she has not done that for a couple of months...When she was walking the dog, she would always wear the same clothes, she would put her headphones in, and she would always walk over the other side of the street so she didn't have to talk to anyone." Another neighbor of Bynes told TMZ he has seen the actress engage in long conversations with inanimate objects.
Neighbors also commented on the star's vehicular issues. They claim Bynes drives "really weird" and that "everyone in the community is worried about her when she gets behind the wheel."
The California DMV had suspended the star's license after one-too-many incidents. In addition to alleged DUI from her April 6 run-in with a police car, Bynes is also facing two hit-and-run charges from separate accidents on April 10 and August 4.
