The iPhone 5 cases are one of few ways you can set yourself apart from millions of other iPhone 5 owners.

Here are a collection of most fashionable, functional, stylish and some ridiculous choices for your iPhone 5 case.

Ahead of the arrival of Apple’s most-anticipated smartphone, retailers had to come up with a whole new proportion, fit for the taller and slimmed-down iPhone 5.

Just in case you are a millionaire, check out the most expensive iPhone 5 case.

Generally, three in four iPhone users would purchase a protective case, with the average price of $18, according to ABI.

According to ABI, 75% of those who purchase an iPhone buy a protective case, and the average selling price for a case is $18. Apple is predicted to sell as many as 58 million units of the iPhone 5, according to analysts surveyed by Bloomberg by the end of 2012. That means the total revenue from the iPhone 5 cases could reach $783 million, says Mashable.

With its pre-order starting on Sept. 14, the iPhone 5 has already broken record with over 2 million smartphones ordered in the first 24 hours.

“iPhone 5 pre-orders have shattered the previous record held by iPhone 4S and the customer response to iPhone 5 has been phenomenal,” Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing, said.

The overwhelming demand exceeded the initial supply, according to Apple, leading many of the orders toward October delivery.

Both Apple and the iPhone 5 carriers have pushed back the shipment dates for several weeks.

As a result, there is a high possibility for many more retailers to see long lines of iPhone-crazed customers this week, in addition to New York City's Apple flagship store, where the line has begun a week before the launch date.

Finally unveiled at a press event in San Francisco last week, the iPhone 5 was described by Apple's new CEO Tim Cook as an "absolute jewel."

“It’s an absolute jewel ... Made entirely of glass and aluminum, designed and built to a standard unlike any in the industry," Cook said.

The iPhone 5 sports a slightly bigger 4-inch screen with a Retina Display. The bigger screen gives room to an additional fifth row of icons.

The phones' body is made of aluminum and glass, making the smartphone 18 per cent thinner and 20 per cent lighter than the iPhone 4S.

The iPhone 5 will be powered by a faster A6 processor, and run on 4G LTE networks, making it faster to brows the web.

New features include camera's panorama function, which allows users to vertically sweep the iPhone screen to take a 28-megapixel image.

Improvements are made in video's stabilization, enhanced battery life, and 44% more color saturation for showing movies.
Apple's new "wideband" audio promises clearer sound during phone calls.

Safari is also enhanced with a full-screen view, and users can now share tabs from desktop to phone via iCloud Tabs.

The iPhone 5 comes with two colors, black and white, and its prices range from $199 for a 16GB, $299 for a 32 GB, to $399 for a 64 GB with a two-year contract.

“iPhone 5 pre-orders have shattered the previous record held by iPhone 4S and the customer response to iPhone 5 has been phenomenal,” Philip Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing, said.

“iPhone 5 is the best iPhone yet, the most beautiful product we’ve ever made, and we hope customers love it as much as we do.”
