Ryan Lochte may be America's next top model; that is if he sticks with his new fashion pal Tyra Banks.

The New York Fashion Week front row duo sat next to each other at the Jeremy Scott spring 2013 fashion show. Before the show, Lochte scored a quick photo-shoot lesson from the Top Model guru herself.

"@tyrabanks and I photo opp at @itsjeremyscott," Lochte tweeted along with a photo of the he and Banks striking fierce facial poses. It's safe to assume that during the mini-shoot, Banks taught the Olympic gold medalist the art of "smizing."

Banks was donning a super retro hairdo - a voluminous bob - and a classic khaki trench coat. "Rockin' a khaki Jackie-Oh!" tweeted the supermodel.

In one shot, Lochte sticks out his neck and puckers his lips into a pout while Banks gives intense eye contact in a titled head pose. In the other snapshot, Lochte has his lips pursed and his eyes wide open - attitude!

"I got another fun shot of us @ryanlochte Fierce pout!" Banks tweeted along with the second photo.

The Olympic swimmer has been quite the front row fixture this fashion week. Lochte is currently working on a fashion line, which he has compared to Ralph Lauren. The 28-year-old heartthrob is taking design notes from the best as he attends the many high-profile shows. He's already earning his fashion cred as a New York Fashion Week correspondent for the E! network.

Lochte has made some great new fashion friends like Karlie Kloss, Joan Rivers, and George Kotsiopoulos. "It's definitely a great honor being back here [NYC], especially for Fashion Week, knowing that I want to become an up-and-coming designer," Lochte told Us magazine. "I went for the more edgy look tonight with some bling of my own," Lochte added. "I'm here to just celebrate and have a good time."
