Gwyneth Paltrow has always been praised for her easy, breezy, effortless style; some have even declared her to be a fashion icon but now the actress has a title to prove it.
People magazine has named the 39-year-old the "World's Best Dressed Woman" of 2012 on Wednesday. The magazine glorified Paltrow's elegant and classic style choices amidst the current quirkier trends that most tend to follow. The Oscar-winning actress tops the best-dressed list which included Kate Middleton, Rihanna, and the Kardashian sisters.
People explained that the list was finalized after soliciting input from their 42 million readers and editors and bloggers. Middleton won the title of having the "best classic style." Emma Stone made the list as having the "best red carpet style" and Rihanna was honored for taking the most risks in her fashion choices.
What makes Paltrow's style so outstanding although it's so simple is the fact that "simple" is actually a shocker in a fashion world of outrageous trends. The actress' stylist, Elizabeth Saltzman, told People that the actress was not a slave to trends. "She doesn't do fringe. She has a uniform. It's simple, not overdone," Saltzman said.
Actresses who made the top ten include Jessica Alba (best jeans), Jennifer Lawrence (best under 25s), and Reese Witherspoon (best pregnancy).
