It's a rare occasion when the world views anything other than a scowl on Victoria Beckham's face. The Spice Girl turned fashion designer couldn't contain her joy after presenting her spring 2013 collection. Days before her show, Beckham expressed how stressed she was. She uploaded a Twitter photo of herself with an oversized tote bag over her head. "After three hours sleep I feel like an old bag! x vb #NYFW," the designer tweeted along with the photo. Now, with the show finally over and done with, Beckham can breathe easy and even smile.

This season, Beckham wanted to really cater to her customer. During her international trunk shows , the designer learned that her customers need more than just the signature V.B. sheath dress; they need separates and suits too. Being the serious fashion designer that she is, Beckham accepted the criticism and took her four year old brand even further with a diverse selection of styles. "I wanted to take my aesthetic and find a new way of working it," she told Style.com before the show. Beckham even included flats into her collection - a bazaar choice for the heel-loving diva. Manolo-Blahnik designed the flat sandals, so essentially the flats are really heels in spirit. The elements that remained the same, however, were the strict solid color code, athletic cuts, and the fabrics which include canvas, georgette, chiffon, and lace.
The collection included body conscious pieces along with looser flowy fits like the silk blouses and slouchy pants. The color palette included black, white, and red. It was a sharp and clean collection with a hint of sex appeal. Beckham added a dash of lingerie designs to the spring collection with sheer bralets, mesh bodices, and sexy cutouts.
Guests in attendance include Beckham's hubby David Beckham, who snapped photographs of his wife's work with a digital camera, Vogue's Anna Wintour and Hamish Bowles, Tennis star Maria Sharapova, and plenty other A-list faces. One famous star that was in attendance but did not sit front row was Beckham's baby girl Harper; she remained backstage. The little tyke was the first to walk the runway. Before the show started Beckham photographed her daughter "testing" the runway with her tiny baby steps.
Tears flowed as the show came to a close. "It was just such an emotional collection for me," the designer said backstage, according to Elle UK. Beckham uploaded a photo of her returning backstage after the show; she had her face buried into her hands. "Relieved!!! Can't believe it's over. Thank you #vbteam!!! #vbss13 #nyfw X vb," she wrote along with her post.
