French designer Catherine Malandrino presented her spring 2013 collection on Sunday at Center548. Between her frequent travels back and forth from Paris to New York, Malandrino is constantly inspired by fashion's capital cities. The designer captures French romance and classic American sportswear in her latest collection. Titled "Majestic," Malandrino's spring 2013 collection features "majestic silhouettes that re-imagine a modern New York woman with an aristocratic dimension." Before presenting her collection, the designer told Style.com, "I wanted to capture the majestic, royal quality of Paris for the woman who lives at a fast pace in New York."

Beauty and sporty combine in royalty. The designer created her "Majestic" collection with French cotton guipure with stretch cotton jacquard, power mesh, suede, and stretch leather. Malandrino continued with the popular spring 2013 color trend - pastels and soft hues of blues and pinks. Memorable pieces were the PVC jewel-studded belts, cropped knitted bolero, and the snakeskin print/mesh combo dress.
Celebrity Malandrino fans swooned over the new collection. Former "Real Housewife of New York City" and model Kelly Killoren Bensimon was all smiles at the presentation. Celebrity stylist June Ambrose was also in good spirits; she even gave out fun little friendship bracelets to those she mingled with (including this author). Beyonce's stylist Ty Hunter also enjoyed the show - it wouldn't be surprising if his fierce client were to soon appear in the "Majestic" collection (she is music's royalty after all).
