CONNECT with fashion&style

Celebrities have professional stylists to turn them into our most prized style icons, but New York Fashion Week beckons all the true trendsetters. Fashion lovers from all over flock to Lincoln Center to showcase their wildest and most eye-catching outfits. While you may not be a mega-star like Lady Gaga or Beyonce, if wearing the right outfit during Fashion Week, you will definitely get that paparazzi attention. Photographers and bloggers swarm to the most stylish folks, yearning for fashion credits and details. "Who are you wearing? Where did you get that from?" are questions not only asked on the red carpet.
It's a jungle of wild prints, costume jewelry, designer exceptionals, and killer shoes. Well-dressed lurkers pace around the landmark's fountain, nonchalantly looking around or having a faux-phone call hopefully waiting to be asked to take a picture. Many dressed their best, but only a few will be documented into cyber space. So if you want to be stopped and shot, look to our street style picks for inspiration.
Below are our real deal Style Steal features (who are indeed stylist-free).

Given the risks that “Elementary” has been taking with the Sherlock Holmes mythology, converting not one but two main characters from men into women, it seems surprising that they chose to keep Sherlock British.
“Buffet Froid” can be translated as “cold cuts” or “cold buffet” and brings to mind the saying, “Revenge is a dish best served cold.”
