Kristen Stewart isn't the only one with a broken relationship in her family. The Twilight starlet's parents are on their way to divorce.

Kristen's mother Jules Stewart filed for divorce from John Stewart on August 17 in Los Angeles Superior Court, after 27 years of marriage, reported TMZ.

The reason for the divorce is irreconcilable differences, says TMZ.

Since June 15, 2010, the long time couple has been estranged, according to the report.

The couple has two children, Kristen and her older brother Cameron, as well as adopted son Taylor.

In the wake of Stewart's cheating scandal, her parents' split may corner the 22-year-old starlet even more severely. 

Just six weeks ago, Kristen Stewart's shocking affair with married director Rupert Sanders was revealed to the world, leaving her boyfriend Robert Pattinson heartbroken.

When the 26-year-old actor appeared in New York City for several interviews, he managed to evade all the Kristen Stewart-related talks.

Most recent update on Robsten claims that Pattinson is allegedly selling the house he and Stewart shared in Los Feliz, California.

"He said there are too many memories," a source close to Robert Pattinson told Us Weekly.

"Rob doesn't hate her and he's not mad . . . He just doesn't get why she did it. He loves her and thinks about her constantly," another insider told the magazine.

Though the heartbroken “Twilight” star remained mum on his relationship with Stewart, Pattinson has finally agreed to meet Stewart face to face in order to repair their relationship, a report that surfaced on Tuesday suggested.

"They talked on the phone for about an hour, it was very emotional,” a source told LOOK Magazine.

"Kristen begged to meet face-to-face so they could talk. It was obvious she was getting through to Rob and he has agreed to see her.”

"Even though she made a horrendous mistake, Rob can't just switch off his feelings,” the source added.

"He was madly in love with her and I think believes that it was a moment of stupidity, not a long, drawn-out affair and it would never happen again.”
"In Rob's eyes, Kristen was seduced and she's clearly not just sorry but completely destroyed by what she's done."

Well, Robert Pattinson may just be blinded by love that he doesn’t see what the world sees.

However, if this hopeful news is true, the darkened “Twilight” drama may get to see the light of the day soon.

"If Rob decides to take her back, he'll have some ground rules,” said the insider.

"Kristen would have to spend more time in his hometown of London.”
"He also would want them to adopt the Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt way of working - where they take it in turns to do a film so they can be around for time together."
