Eddie Murphy isn't dead. The 51-year-old actor is the latest victim of a death hoax, following Bill Cosby and Rihanna, who were also declared dead on the internet in the past weeks.

Eddie Murphy was reported as dead by Global Associated News on Friday.

"The actor & novice snowboarder was vacationing at the Zermatt ski resort in Zermatt, Switzerland with family and friends. Witnesses indicate that Eddie Murphy lost control of his snowboard anda struck a tree at a high rate of speed," the fake report claimed.

The description is virtually the same as a death hoax of Brad Pitt produced by the same website last month.

"Eddie Murphy was air lifted by ski patrol teams to a local hospital, however, it is believed that the actor died instantly from the impact of the crash. The actor was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident and drugs and alcohol do not appear to have played any part in his death," the report continued.

At the end of the article, however, a disclaimer explained that the story was fabricated for "entertainment purposes."

"Fake ...This story is 100% fake! This is an entertainment website, and this is a totally fake article based on zero truth and is a complete work of fiction for entertainment purposes," the disclaimer reads.

Eddie Murphy was declared dead on the Internet dozens of times. Just last month, another round of Twitter death hoax hit Twitter claiming that the actor had a fatal crash in Zermatt, Switzerland while snowboarding. Same idea, same plot…

What in this is even entertaining at all?

That already marked the fourth time Eddie Murphy "died" from a snowboarding accident, Hollywood Life reports.

Just this week, the storm of death hoaxes hit comedian Bill Cosby, who was rumored on Facebook to be dead, on Monday. Rihanna and Bill Nye too became victims of death rumors.
