Pippa Middelton pens her first book: a party planning guide.

The Duchess of Cambridge's 28-year-old younger sister is making her own path, breaking away from living in Kate Middleton's shadows, by writing a book based on her experience in her family's event planning business.

So is Middleton the new Martha Stewart? While the queen of homemaking still holds her title, Miss Middleton may slowly take her spot if the book does any good.  The Duchess' little sister has gained her own celebrity so book sales should not be an issue.

"Celebrate: A Year of British Festivities for Families and Friends" is a "feel-good book," according to Middleton. She offers practical tips on how to host British-themed parties, including recipes, decorations, crafts, and games.

The cover of the book, revealed by People, features a collage of yummy goodies, holiday images, and photos of  Middleton enjoying domestic activities.

In the U.K. release, Middleton stated "This book is designed to be a comprehensive guide to home entertaining, based on my experience in my family's party business, Party Pieces, and work for London-based events company, Table Talk. It is a useful and practical journey into British-themed occasions and I hope it offers welcome inspiration and ideas, most of which needn't leave you alarmingly out of pocket. Entertaining on any scale can be stressful and daunting so this is all about finding ways to manage and enjoy the process."

"I hope you will see this as a feel-good book with ideas to look forward to each month, providing threads of lasting, happy memories, be it around a table lit with candles in winter, outside on a rug in summer or in the autumn, perched on a leaf-covered bench, hot drink in hand," she added.

Although there are no reviews of the book just yet, it is expected that the content will be similar to her advice segments in The Party Times, an online party magazine that she edits for the family's company.

Penguin will publish the 400-page book Oct. 30 for a retail price of $50.
