A two-faced cat has garnered attention across the web and rose to fame after a Reddit post went viral.

Venus the chimera cat, with two faces split in the middle - half black with a green eye and half ginger with a blue eye - has gone viral from a Reddit post, and rose to fame and much admiration.

The two-faced cat has collected over 37,000 fans on her Facebook page and made an appearance on TODAY to prove her existence.

“We’ve heard everything from Photoshop to we’ve dyed half of her face,’’ Venus' owner Christina, who did not want her last name used, told Savannah Guthrie. “This is just the way she was born, that’s it.’’

Venus' Youtube video has over 800,000 views.

"She's as sweet as can be....gentle, loving, and has this little tiny kitten like 'meow' even though she is 3 now," Christina, who lives in Florida, wrote in a post. "She acts like a big baby in the way that she loves to be babied. She doesn't bother any furniture with her claws and uses a scratching post. She does not have one single bad habits......she's perfect!"

The three-year-old cat was a feral stray cat living on a dairy farm in North Carolina, Christina told TODAY.

“We have an orange tabby and a black tuxedo at home, so when I first saw her, I said, ‘Oh my gosh, she looks like a combination of both our cats,’’’ the owner of the now-super famous two-faced cat said. “We didn’t at that time see the eyes, so Chris’s first reaction was, ‘We do not need any more animals.’ When we zoomed in on her eyes, we were just awestruck. I said, ‘We just have to have this cat.’’’

Thus Venus came to Christina's Florida home.

"We (us and the kids) really wanted to give her a cool name with meaning so we came up with Venus, Greek for the goddess of beauty and love," Christian explained on Lifewithcats.tv.
"She took to us right away but was naturally scared when my other animals approached her so I picked her up in the cradle position (like in the most recent video) and just held her and pet her. I think that’s why we have the closest bond. I have held her so many times like that it’s crazy and she loves it. I’ve watched half a football game with her cradled like that just laying on the couch."

While Venus is described as an "amazing chimera cat," the two-faced cutie has not been DNA-tested and has not been officially authenticated to be a chimera cat.
