Jordin Sparks amazed the crowd at the USTA's US Open 2012 Opening Night Gala in New York City Monday night with her powerful performance of the National Anthem and her sexy skintight dress.

The season five "American Idol" winner showed off her fantastic 50-pound slimmed-down figure in a white eyelet body-hugging Bebe dress.  The mini-dress cut way above Sparks' knees. The 22-year-old elongated her tone legs with a pair of nude peep-toe pumps. With hair pulled back into a classic ponytail, the singer completed her simple look with a pair of diamond stud earrings and light neutral makeup.

Sparks' look is very easy to execute and also super affordable! The Bebe dress is $80 and can work for any event. The body-con dress features mid-length sleeves that perfectly balances out the super short length and plunging back.

Pairing something short with a nude heel (any color close to your skin tone) helps elongate your legs making them look toner and leaner.  Michael Kors has the perfect pair for this look.

Sparks has struggled with her weight in the past but has now included fitness into her everyday life. She flaunted her new svelte figure last year. Sparks told Us Weekly, that she tried to maintain her workout regimen even when she was busy filming "Sparkle," which has already hit theaters August 17. She tells the magazine, "It's been so crazy . . . that's where really watching what I eat comes into play." She added, "I've been trying to eat a lot of salads, apples, fruits -- I've been trying to stick with things like that so I can snack on those instead of being like, 'Oh look, a bag of chips! I'll just have those!'"

Although she is a bit of a health nut, the singer allows herself to indulge every once in a while. In-N-Out Burger is one of her tasty splurges and also her mom's sweet potato casserole. "It's a good thing she only makes that once a year because I would eat it all day long!"

Just as she catches a breath from filming and promoting "Sparkle," Sparks is set to star in another movie. She tweeted about her latest role last week, "My last day w/ Mister & Pete was yesterday!! I loved this cast & crew!"  Also with her tweet was a picture of the singer donning a cropped top baring her flat tummy.

Her new movie, called "The Inevitable Defeat of Mister and Pete," began filming in July. Although she won't be singing for her role, Sparks is still musically connected through her castmates. One of the movie's executive producers is R&B diva Alicia Keys. Another talented songstress involved in the production is fellow "American Idol" talent Jennifer Hudson.

The film follows two inner-city youths who try to survive after losing their mothers to prison. Sparks will play an Afro-Latina from the Bronx. The singer says although the role is a stretch for her, it's also cool to play such a different character.

The singer is now working on a new album. Sparks' celebrity has sky-rocketed with her blossoming acting career, singing career, hot new body, and her loving relationship with singer Jason Derulo.
